Dentists, What Your Patient Is Looking For?

On our fourth broadcast episode, Dr. Brian Harris addressed many patient questions and talked through the 4 essential steps to selecting a cosmetic dentist. Cosmetic procedures are a significant investment for most people and the decision to accept treatment is not taken lightly. Ultimately, patients will select a dentist that they trust!

So, how do you make sure that prospective patients trust you?

While there are many aspects to consider, the key is to understand what your patients are looking for.

As you begin working with a new patient, first through a virtual consultation and then as they come into the office, ask them to gather up examples of smiles that they like. This gives you a clear understanding of what they are looking for and allows for you to be transparent about the process and cost. Transparency and communication are essential when it comes to cosmetic dentistry but also keeping in mind that at the end of the day, it’s the patient’s decision of what they want their smile to look like.

Pro Tip: Ask questions throughout the process. Oftentimes, a patient may be worried to share their thoughts but it’s important to inquire about their thoughts as you work through the process.
